Glass first captured Evan Chamber's attention at Cal Poly San Louis Obispo in 1999. There he took an introductory glassblowing course taught by George Jerich and learned the fundamentals of glassblowing. Evan continued for four more years with George. Eager to learn more, Evan continued his glass education with Fred "Sonny" Cresswell. Fred is a master blower from Sonoma County. After his apprenticeship with Sonny , Evan returned to San Louis Obispo to work at Central Coast Glassblowing Studio. After one year he purchased the studio with his new partner ,Elaine Hyde. After five more years of intense blowing he left San Louis Obispo for his home town of Pasadena, CA. It is in Pasadena that Evan now resides and has established is own studio. Evan's work can be seen in many glass art galleries as well as The Gamble House in Pasadena, and the Long Beach Museum of Art.
