Rollin Karg is an accomplished glass artist who works in his own studio, Karg Art Glass set among trees and rolling hills in Kansas. His wife and six children all help to create beautiful sculptures paperweights and eggs. Rollin attended Wichita State University and studied hot glass at Emporia State University, both in Kansas. Roillin originally worked as an industrial engineer creating glass pieces as a hobby. In 1983 he began working full time in glass. Rollin????s work can be seen in galleries and juried exhibitions throughout the United States and Canada. Rollin Karg spends most of his time creating massive free form sculptures. He is a master of ancient glassblowing techniques as well as his own inventions and utilizing dichoric glass. Dichoric glass is an ultra thin glass which appears to change colors when viewed from different angles, His forms contain multiple colors, especially blues, which are encased in a thick layer of clear crystal. He applies similar techniques to his smaller sculptures, paperweights, and eggs.
