Bruce Pizzichillo and and Dari Gordon have been redefining contemporary blown glass since 1980. Bruce studied at the University of New Mexico and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in glass form California College of Arts and Crafts where he studied with internationally renowned glass artist Marvin Lipofsky. Dari received her B.F.A form Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. In 1984, they opened their studio, Pizzichillo/Gordon in northern California where they now live with their son. Bruce and Dari¡¯s work has been featured in numerous publications including San Diego Home and Garden; Angeles Magazine; and New Work Glass Magazine. Their highly collected work has been shown in major museums, galleries, and juried exhibitions throughout the United States, Europe and Japan. Bruce Pizzichillo and Dari Gordon create large richly colored hand blown glass vases, sculptural vessels, and bowls. They use classic techniques along with their own inventions to produce their masterful works. Often times they obtain wonderful patterned colors by fusing pre- made glass strings, pieces, and shards to the surface of their work. Bruce and Dari¡¯s high standard result in half of their works being destroyed. Each piece is a guaranteed classic to be admired for years to come.
