Artist Image
Jean-Pierre Weill creates unique limited and open edition prints using glass as an art form, on its own or in conjunction with other mediums. Clear glass can suspend objects in 3-dimensional space, virtually letting you hold a captured moment of time in your hands. It is this concept of captured time in 3-dimensional space that artist Jean-Pierre Weill has successfully introduced as an extraordinary and innovative new art process, trademarked under the term "Vitreography?. Jean-Pierre coined the word ?vitreography?? for this process. Using traditional motifs such as landscapes, still-life, and domestic interiors, he captured a broad repertoire of 3-dimensional images behind glass and frame. His work has been exhibited in hundreds of galleries and museums across the United States, Europe, and Japan.
